The food is delicious. My go to is always amongst Flaming Dragon, Incredible and Lobster Crossing (here since last 6 years). Love it! I can always count on fresh and high quality fish here plus great service. Jun (the owner) is fabulous, funny, loud and super welcoming.

    Hence the 5 stars!

We decided to eat here for dinner because we're craving comfort food after a five hour drive and location was near to lodging.  We're seated next to two Sushi chefs at the front of the restaurant.

Male server took our orders relying fully on auditory and memory recall.  I remembered ordering Seafood Udon.  I encountered a couple of order discrepancies immediately.  Male server brought out a huge bowl and stated, "Chirashi."  My response in a polite, tired voice, "I didn't order Chirashi.  I ordered Seafood Udon."  Male server picked up bowl of Chirashi, appeared confused, turned around, and walked away.

My husband didn't encounter any problems with his order:  rice, teriyaki chicken with sesame seeds, shrimp and vegetable tempura, mandoo, tossed salad with house dressing.  California Sushi rolls arrived.  Few minutes later, my husband's full order appeared at our table.

I observed our server walking out with a huge bowl, then noticed he placed it on the counter at a distance.  He walked over to our table and asked me, "What did you order?"  I kindly responded, "Seafood Udon."  I asked the server, "I see a huge bowl behind the counter.  What is that?"  He replied, "Seafood Salad.  That's not your order."  Finally, Seafood Udon arrived after ten minutes.
Server did not apologize at all.  That seemed to peeve my
husband more than I when he disclosed to me that Server didn't say sorry once.  I noticed, was hangry and tired.  Initially, I enjoyed the healthy and comforting taste of Seafood Udon; however, that changed when I also observed and heard Supervisor or possibly Owner scold our Server in front of everyone in the restaurant - Sushi chefs, few workers and customers a few times.  After the second time, I didn't need to look up and relied on my auditory skills.  I clearly saw the lack of respect, miscommunication, assumption, and unprofessional behavior.  Yet, Supervisor or possibly Owner seemed very hospitable to two large parties that had prior reservations and were seated immediately.  Soon after I lost my appetite of enjoying dinner and had a headache.

We came here on a weekday and it was empty. We ordered a couple of things and it was served pretty quickly. The seafood salad was alright, nothing about it stood out. I got the unagi don 'cause I saw how cheap it was compared to other restaurants and when it got to the table, I regretted it. It wasn't plated the way I expected it to be and the eel didn't taste fresh at all. Pretty disappointed. We also ordered 2 appetizers, fried oysters and agedashi tofu. My bf enjoyed the fried oysters but I wasn't too much of a big fan of it. I just prefer raw oysters! I absolutely love tofu but the agedashi tofu was such a disappointment... the sauce was extremely salty so I took all the tofu out but it was still salty, sigh.

Service wasn't too bad. I did feel bad for the young waiter who was working there. The owner was sitting in front and he straight up told the waiter to come out, do work and to apologize to the other waiter. I felt like that was uncalled for, there was literally no one in the restaurant.. the waiter was just walking back and forth trying to find something to do.

I don't recommend coming here and I wouldn't want to come back here again..

It's been awhile since I've been here. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The rice and fish was not fresh. When picking up a roll, the rice would crumble onto the plate. The spicy tuna was dry and the other fish had a weird after taste to it. Which made it very scary to eat.

We had ordered 4 rolls and were so concerned about eating it, that it all went to waste. Aside from the rolls we did order the vegetable tempura and the wakame salad. The wakame salad appeared to look dry but when we ate it, it taste ok. (We hesitated to eat that as well.) The vegetable tempura was good and the only thing we completely ate.

This use to be my go to spot last year. Not sure what happened since then. Looks like we will never be returning.

Since I have to give 1 star minimum I guess the one star would be for the vegetable tempura, the only thing we didn't have an issue with.

Now here's a list of our grievances.

    1. Water tasted like lemon peel
    2. Seaweed salad looked dry, we were hesitant to try it but it did taste decent
    3. Sushi rice was dry and I don't think they used actual sushi rice but regular rice instead.
    4. Fish was not fresh at all. We were a bit reluctant to try it. The salmon was not bright orange / it was more of a pale orange close to brown. Needless to say we didn't finish the rolls.
    5. The rolls were comprised of primarily dried rice
    6. Here's the kicker - Servers didn't check up on us. And when we opted not to tip because of poor service and food quality, they had the nerve to come to my car with the bill gesturing that we didn't tip.... who does that?!?!?
